Women's Ministry

Bethel Beacon

The women at Bethel are always looking for new and better ways to grow in Christ.  Whether it is through Bible study, quarterly ministry meetings, fellowship times, serving meals to those in need, participating with the "Women of Faith," sewing quilts or going on retreat one can always find a place to fit in.

The theme of the 5th Annual Bethel Women's Retreat was "Taste and See That the Lord is Good". The Sous Chefs and Matre`D worked hard to make the table settings and the foods to help nourish us and feed us while worshipping the Lord.

There were four Bible Studies, "Planning the Menu", "Preparation, before Cooking", "Cooking", Setting the Table & Serving".  Finally on Sunday Morning "Fellowship Around the Table".

We would meet as a group with Pastor Barb, sing songs and worship, then break into small groups for lessons and discussion, we would then return ttasteo the large group and would find our tables set with new things to taste and savor.

On Saturday we had a few hours of free time to either shop in Estes Park or just rest and relax.  After the evening session, those who wished to put on skits entertained us.  A good time was had by all.

      for    thought

Just as each ingredient in a recipe needs to be measured properly, so does each ingredient in our life.  It too much of one thing, or not enough of another is used, our life's recipe (God's purpose for us) will be changed and could become more difficult.

I would have to say that the retreat was a huge success and 71 ladies attended this year.  The Holy Spirit was really working.  Hope everyone makes room on their calendar to come to the 5th Annual Bethel Women's Retreat.

Miriam Circle

 Circle

The Miriam Circle is a women's Bible study.  They meet on the second Wednesday of each month. They take turns meeting at one of the Circle members homes. It is a great way to meet  other women of Bethel for a very informal Bible study and snacks.  If you are interested in joining the Miriam Circle contact the Church office at 303-364-2245, for more information

Clip Art

The "Sewing Bees" are busy sewing, but they could use your help.  If you have any material pieces, larger pieces of material suitable for baby quilts, or old blankets that you would be willing to donate to them, it would be much appreciated and put to good use!
See Carol Einertson if you would be willing to donate any other type of sewing notion that you think would be useful. Also, if  you are interested in being part of this ministry, they meet Mondays at 5:00 p.m.
