President’s Letter for November 2023
Roof inspection shows hail damage. Church Mutual Insurance and a commercial roofing contractor inspectors are accessing damage/cost of repairs. Includes window trim, exposed plywood exterior, and second floor dry rot awnings.
Property management for our parsonage states a refrigerator was replaced. The cost was not clearly documented on the September closing statement. No agreement exists covering dollar limits for
appliance cost or repairs. A meeting is planned to clarify any future events or problems.
Church hot water heater that was installed in June was incorrectly connected and was drawing water from the boiler and not the main line. This has been corrected at the cost of the installer, Mighty Plumbing and Heating.
Final numbers are in for our recent Ice Cream Social/Silent Auction. We netted $7,043.00 for the Howshar Family! This also included the $472 that was collected for Easter Breakfast. Pastor Barb will present a check to John Howshar for $7,043.00.
A number of activities are in the works by various church committees. For teen activities, Adult Sunday School, plans for 2024 Vacation Bible School. Collecting warm clothes for the homeless and a veteran program. All these proposals will be announced on upcoming Sundays as plans firm up.
Thank you,
Jeff Grawe,
SLT President
