The SLT did not meet in December due to the holidays, with members who were leaving on
trips or too busy with Christmas preparations.
We are still looking for member to come forth and volunteer for participation with the next
SLT team. We have one volunteer for President so far, but we still need someone for the positions of Treasurer, Vice President, Secretary, and other positions that are going to be vacant.
I am happy with the members for their tithing and support with items that were unforeseen such as sewer issues, tree trimming, bringing the kitchen stove fire suppression systems up to current codes, and other small matters that needed to be dealt with. The stove matters are under contract for upcoming work, and the tree trimming
that was started before the big Arctic cold snap should be completed before the New Year.
Travis has gotten almost everything done with the Sunday TV monitoring and other items that had to be done on the sound system for our Sunday services.
I especially want to thank Norma and Rick Breiding and all the other volunteers that helped with the outside landscaping. Especially when the sewer was excavated and all the irrigation electric lines were out. Rick got new wiring so all of the system worked.
I thank all the volunteers who do every day chores at the church where they see it is needed to be done, there are too many to be named individually.
We are still working on getting a new printer/copier, which the new SLT team will need to see to in spring 2023 as our current machine’s lease automatically renewed for one more year in August. The SLT team and the pastor are still working on ways to bring our members all back to our Sunday services, except those who have moved or because of health reasons cannot come in person. If you have any suggestions, please share them with the pastor.
Our annual congregational meeting will be the fourth Sunday in January on the 22nd. Your attendance and participation is vital and encouraged.
Thank you,
Marvin Kelley,
SLT President
