Thank you to everyone that responded to our survey! We got 33 online responses and 6 that were mailed back! There was some great feedback that was discussed at our SLT (Senior Leadership Team) meeting. Some themes we saw throughout the survey responses were that you all missed Fellowship with other members whether this be during worship, fellowship time after church or through events we would do together. Our goal for 2021 is to help provide fellowship opportunities in a safe manner. Whether this be outside, in small groups or via technology, we know and completely agree that fellowship is an important part of our walk with Christ together. We do ask for patience as we navigate this new road post-pandemic (almost), but do know we are excited to get back together with you all.
We could use YOU to help us with this.
If you have ideas for safe events, we want to hear from you! (this is Fellowship)
If you have ideas for bible studies or spiritual growth activities, we want to hear from you. (this is Discipleship)
If you have a desire to help Bethel members use their spiritual gifts to grow this ministry, we want to hear from you! (this is Stewardship/Evangelism)
Please email Jamie at with any ideas so we can get our fellowship and ministry off the ground and running.
Things to know from our last meeting:
Missions: There are future dates to provide meals, stay tuned.
Music and Worship: Easter is coming, join us for a 6:30am sunrise service! We have a camera and new computer, getting these set up is still in process. We hope to use these soon for our live-streaming.
Treasurer report: Javier Castillo is helping organize the books. It looks like we we’re in the red for January. We are still waiting for the report from February.
President Report: The parsonage has all new flooring, paint and has been cleaned up. We are looking at it being ready for rental soon. The preschool is not starting again, there will be dates planned soon for organization and cleaning up of our preschool stuff and the basement. Stay tuned as we would love help with this.
If you would like to attend service, feel free to call the office or sign up online. If you feel safer at home, our Facebook livestream and YouTube options will still be available.
For those with internet access, for details, questions, happenings on the church, check out our Website BethelAurora.org. I hope in 2021, Bethel leadership can continue to listen to our members, bring us back together safely and grow together in our walk with Christ.
Blessings, Jamie Villante
Jamie, I do appreciate your Updates from Leadership (which I only recently found on the website!). When I have left SLT, sometimes I feel like I’m in a void, not knowing what is going on in church, unless Pastor Barb mentions something during worship. Your updates help fill that void. Thanks!
